Privacy Policy and Disclosures

Last updated July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how whobringing.com (the "Service", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with your access to and use of the Service. By accessing or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the practices described herein. If you do not agree with any portion of this Policy, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

The Service is designed to operate without user accounts, registration, email addresses, passwords, or other persistent personal identifiers. In the ordinary course of operation, the Service collects and stores only such information as is voluntarily submitted by users in the course of creating or interacting with lists, including without limitation: (a) event titles and event dates entered by list creators; (b) item names and item categories entered by list creators or participants; and (c) the first names, display names, or self-selected nicknames entered by participants for the purpose of attributing item claims. No field on the Service requests, requires, or validates an email address, telephone number, postal address, government identifier, or payment instrument.

2. Local Storage

The Service utilizes browser local storage technologies to enhance user convenience, including storage of (a) the display name or nickname you most recently entered, so that repeated entry is not required on subsequent visits, and (b) references to lists you have created or visited from the applicable browser, so that such lists may be conveniently surfaced to you. Such data resides exclusively within your own browser, is not transmitted to us as a profile, and may be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data, whereupon the aforementioned conveniences shall cease to function.

3. Aggregate Usage Metrics

We maintain anonymous, aggregate counters reflecting the volume of certain product events (by way of illustration and not limitation: lists created, items claimed, and share actions initiated) on a per-month basis. Such counters contain no names, list contents, device identifiers, or other information attributable to any individual. We additionally employ standard, privacy-respecting web analytics provided by our hosting infrastructure for purposes of measuring aggregate traffic, referrers, and page performance.

4. List Accessibility

Lists are reachable exclusively by means of their unique, randomly generated link. Lists are not published to any public directory or index maintained by us, and list pages are designated for exclusion from search engine indexing. You acknowledge that any person in possession of a list link may view the list and the first names or nicknames displayed thereon, and you should share list links only with intended participants.

5. Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising and affiliate arrangements. Certain links appearing on the Service, including without limitation the "get it" links adjacent to list items and delivery-service links, are affiliate links pointing to third-party merchants such as Amazon, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Instacart. As an affiliate of such programs, including as an Amazon Associate, we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases or referrals made through such links, at no additional cost to you. Display advertising, where present, is limited in placement and served by third-party advertising partners who may employ their own cookies and technologies subject to their own privacy policies, over which we exercise no control.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise convey user-submitted information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Information is shared only (a) with infrastructure providers strictly as necessary to operate the Service, or (b) where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Participants are encouraged to use first names or nicknames only.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Service following the posting of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance thereof.
